JMPCC protects the integrity of the published record and follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines. Published articles are not changed or deleted without a formal, linked notice.

How notices are handled

•     Notices are free to read, have their own DOI, and are linked to and from the original article.

•     Retracted articles remain online with a clear ‘RETRACTED’ watermark and a notice explaining the reason and who initiated the retraction.

•     Metadata are updated with Crossref and indexing services.

•     Authors are informed and may respond before publication of a notice; the editor makes the final decision.

Articles In-Press

Minor errors found before the final version are corrected with a change log. Substantive changes after a DOI is assigned require a formal notice.

Post-publication discussion

Readers may submit a Letter to the Editor about any article within six months of publication; authors are invited to reply, and both are published together. JMPCC also responds to credible concerns raised on post-publication platforms such as PubPeer.
