The Journal of Medical and Perioperative Critical Care (JMPCC) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Corvus Medical Press. It covers the whole pathway of acute and perioperative care — preoperative assessment and optimisation, anaesthesia, intraoperative management, postoperative recovery, pain medicine, emergency and resuscitation care, and intensive care medicine.

Mission

Patients undergoing surgery or facing critical illness are cared for by many teams whose work overlaps: anaesthesia, surgery, intensive care, emergency medicine, nursing and rehabilitation. JMPCC brings their research together in one place. The journal gives particular attention to evidence that works in resource-variable settings, including low- and middle-income countries, where much of the world’s surgical and critical care takes place with limited equipment and staff.
